Breakthrough Scholarships

We're offering funded places on our courses to talented writers facing barriers to entry

We’re proud to work with valued partners to provide scholarships and support talented writers by funding their attendance on our long selective-entry creative writing courses. Our partners have ranged from corporate sponsors to well-known authors – to former students of our courses who want to gift someone else the experience they themselves benefited from.

From 2021, under The Breakthrough Writers’ Programme, we will be offering more scholarship places than ever, whether funded by Curtis Brown Group or by our partners. Read on to find out about the scholarships currently open for applications and to check the eligibility criteria. Further opportunities will be opened up as the year progresses (with full information displayed on this page), and you can join our mailing list to get early information about them.

If you are interested in partnering with us to provide a scholarship or want to know more about the work we’re doing through The Breakthrough Writers’ Programme, please get in touch here: cbccourses@curtisbrown.co.uk
