Imogen Robertson
Imogen Robertson is a best-selling author of historical fiction who has written six novels under her own name, including The Paris Winter, as well as collaborating with Tom Watson, Wilbur Smith and screenwriter Darby Kealey. Her novels have been published in a dozen languages and shortlisted for CWA Dagger Awards four times. Her first solo contemporary thriller, The Russian Doll, written under the pseudonym Marina Palmer, was published to excellent reviews in 2021 and has been optioned for screen adaptation. She is also chair of the Historical Writers’ Association. Imogen has taught masterclasses, led workshops and lectured on writing for undergraduate and mature students with various institutions including the Guardian, City Reads and Plymouth University. She regularly mentors private students, provides editorial support for The Literary Consultancy and Curtis Brown Creative and ghost writes. Before writing full time, Imogen was a film and TV director and a published poet. She lives in London with her various identities and her husband, Ned Palmer, author of the best-selling nonfiction book A Cheesemonger’s History of the British Isles.
