Our first panel features debut novelists Emma Nanami Strenner (My Other Heart), Lucy Rose (The Lamb) and Charlotte Runcie (Bring the House Down). Then you’ll hear from bestselling author David Nicholls and Executive Publisher at Sceptre Federico Andornino in conversation with our Founder Anna Davis.

About our debut author panel
Three former Curtis Brown Creative students – Emma Nanami Strenner (My Other Heart), Lucy Rose (The Lamb) and Charlotte Runcie (Bring the House Down) – will discuss their experiences of being debut authors, their novels, and the writing/publishing process with an audience of 140 budding writers.
Curtis Brown literary agent Jess Molloy will chair this panel. This event will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.

About our headline panel
Our New Writers’ Day will culminate with bestselling author David Nicholls taking to the stage alongside his current editor Federico Andornino. They will discuss David’s latest novel You Are Here – as well as David’s experiences from over 20 years of writing professionally and Federico’s expertise from 15 years working in publishing. David is the author of five novels, including the multi-million-copy bestseller One Day.
This panel will touch on what it’s like for authors to work editorially with publishers as they build a career with longevity. You’ll get unmissable publishing industry insights as well as writing tips from one of Britain’s most loved authors.
CBC’s Founder and Managing Director Anna Davis will chair this panel. This event will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing
