Headline and Curtis Brown Creative have teamed up to find exciting new voices in romantic fiction from writers from Black, Asian, mixed heritage and/or multiple ethnic backgrounds, in association with Hachette UK’s The Future Bookshelf.
We're proud to provide writing development prizes to fiction and creative non-fiction winners of Creative Future's annual awards for under-represented writers.
Discoveries invites all unpublished and unagented women writers aged 18 and up, currently residing in the UK or Ireland and writing in English, to submit their works of adult fiction to the Discoveries Prize.
In 2025 we supported 97 talented, under-represented writers via our Breakthrough Writers' Programme – funded by Curtis Brown, HW Fisher and individual author-sponsors.
