Hannah Sandford
Hannah is a freelance editor who began her career at Egmont Books (now Farshore) in 2010. She joined the Bloomsbury Children’s and YA Fiction team in 2016, becoming Editorial Director in 2022. She has commissioned titles across the spectrum of fiction for 5+ to teen fiction – from fantastically funny, full-colour first readers to heart-breaking, heart-mending literary YA prize-winners. Hannah has edited books that have gone on to win or be shortlisted for several major awards, including the Nero Book Awards, the Costa Book Awards, the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, the An Post Irish Book Awards, the Laugh Out Loud Book Awards, the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the UKLA Book Awards, the Goodreads Choice Awards and the Books Are My Bag Reader Awards. Working with authors is her favourite bit of the job.
