How to take part in our #WriteCBC Three Wise Writers competition
BY Katie Smart
28th Nov 2019
Following the marvellously silly success of last year’s #WriteCBC #BigWinterStory, this year we’re hosting three weeks of extra special festive #WriteCBC fun. Join us from Monday 2nd to Wednesday 18th December for three Christmas-tastic rounds of our popular Twitter microfiction competition.
We’re asking our Twitter community to follow the guiding light of writerly advice from Three Wise Writers by taking part in three tasks, with three chances to win a place on one of our online courses. As a bonus, each week there’s an opportunity to win book-prizes if you’re the first to solve a clue and guess who the mystery Wise Writer is …
Every Monday at 11am (UK-time) we will be posting a visual clue as to the identity of that week’s Wise Writer. The first person to tweet us with the correct guess will win a book by the mystery author! (Be sure to tag @cbcreative and use the hashtags #WriteCBC and #3WiseWriters)
On the next day – Tuesday – at 11am (UK-time) our Wise Writer will share their gift of a writing tip and writing task.
To take part, just have a go at the day’s task and post the results up on Twitter – tagging @cbcreative and including the hashtag #WriteCBC.
The competition runs until the following day – Wednesday – and closes at 10am (UK-time), after which we'll choose a winner and two runners-up, and tweet and post the results in our blog at 11am (UK-time).
Each of the three weekly winners get a free place on one of our six-week online writing courses (worth £200). Two runners-up will get a £50 discount off the price of one of the six-week online courses each week (see below), and there'll be free books for some highly commended entries.
